Abbotsbury Swannery is unique. This is the only place in the world where you are able to walk through the heart of a colony of nesting Mute Swans. The swannery shelters behind the famous Chesil Beach on Dorset's Jurassic Coast and is a sanctuary for up to 1000 Mute Swans. From the end of May the public are allowed to wander around and view the friendly swans and cygnets at close range.
