Exeter Cathedral in parts is over 850 years old, one of the best examples of the Decorated Gothic Architecture. The stunning ceiling is reputedly the longest unbroken span of its kind in the world. The Cathedral boasts some of the finest stained glass in England, a 60 foot high solid oak Bishops Chair and Angel Gabriel's Chapel - restored with the use of bright colours to illustrate the Cathedral's original painted form. Externally, the West Front is adorned with wonderful sculptures depicting kings, saints and angels.
