Oxford, known as 'the city of dreaming spires', world famous for the prestigious University, the oldest university in the English speaking world. St Giles Fair
Oxford's annual traditional street fair. A wide variety of attractions, some large, some small, ranging from a coconut shy to super rides that are similar to those found at amusement parks. Since the nineteenth century, St Giles Fair has been held on the Monday and Tuesday following the first Sunday after St Giles Day (1st September).
